Friends House Moscow

We support Dom Druzei, a Quaker charity  in Moscow known as 'Friends House Moscow' in English. We are a registered  Interest Group within the Britain Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).

We are a registered British charity, No. 1055965, and a limited, non-profit, company, 'FHM Ltd'.

 

  
 

Our structure

Friends House Moscow consists of three legal  entities: the Russian social organisation Dom Druzei (Дом Друзей в Москве), the British charity 'Friends House Moscow', and the non-commercial American Friends House Moscow Support Association. To see how these and other groups are related, click here.

FHM’s direction of  work is decided upon by a Board which meets once a year in Moscow.  There are 16 members on the Board from five different countries.  As well as the annual Board meeting,  an Executive Committee meets twice a year.  The Executive Committee decides on matters arising between Board meetings and approves new project applications.

Staffing

There are currently two staff members, who work at the Moscow office, and a volunteer line manager. Monthly staff meetings are held when the manager visits from St Petersburg.  The AVP Russia coordinator also regularly visits the office to report on AVP work.  All documents for the Russian authorities are prepared by a qualified Russian accountant.
